For this project, we were given the opportunity to manufacture and supply a multi-temperature cascade system with an integrated condenser for an airbag facility in Cape Town that tests airbags at various temperatures. The unit used two different types of refrigerants (R507a & R23) to execute those desired temperatures. The manufactured 3-Bitzer compressor unit, provided a capacity rating of 43kWR MT and 20.4kWR LT to ultimately reach an ultra-low cooling of -50°C for a required room temperature of -40°C. We are very pleased with how the unit turned out and our customer was too.
